Featuring a sandy beach, safe swimming, a canoe launch, picnic facilities, a shoreline trail and change rooms, the Pine Lake Day Use Area is a popular summer destination for locals and visitors alike.
Overlooking the Salt River and its limestone and gypsum cliffs, the Salt River Day Use Area features a picnic shelter, individual picnic tables, fire grates, a group fire pit and trail heads for the Karstland Trail and north and south loops of the Salt River Trail System. Other attractions include the garter snake pits, near the trail heads of the North Loop and Larstland trails and especially active during early spring, as well as various sinkholes.
Visit the Angus Day Use area for a picnic, a stroll, the children's playground and the park's largest sinkhole. The Angus Sinkhole is 100 m across and 60 m deep and was formed when the roof of an underground cave collapsed. The Angus Day Use Area is located near the park's northern boundary along Highway 5.
